Essentially, the QMSCAPA executable, binary libraries and data files may be installed on any drive provided that you allow the OS security system to execute programs; plus read and write data to the selected folder.

The default and recommended installation path for executable and binary libraries are shown below:

C:\Program Files (x86)\QMS\QMSCAPA

The default and recommended installation path for data files and report templates are shown below:

C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\ABCI\QMSCAPA

Recommended Configuration for Multiple Users

The QMSCAPA reporting templates are stored into a file folder named REPORTS, which is a requirement of the QMSCAPA software.

The default path to the QMSCAPA reporting templates is:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\ABCI\QMSCAPA\REPORTS

When ABCI publishes an update for QMSCAPA the reporting templates are included and the installation wizard places the updated reports into the default path.

However, some end-users have elected to locate the QMSCAPA data files in other drives and folders.

For example, Q:\ManagementSystems\QMSCAPA

Therefore, the person executing the installation of the updated REPORTING TEMPLATES must navigate and select the appropriate path for the REPORTS.
